Is it me, or did the internet get retarded all of a sudden? On every computer I use now, some sites where I didn't use www. now REQUIRE me to use the www. or else the page won't load, or brings up a search for the address I put in.

So sometimes I use www. and http//, sometimes I don't.

What in the holy hell is this

QUOTE
The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is a technical, Web-related term used in two distinct meanings:

    * in popular usage, it is a widespread synonym for Uniform Resource Identifier (URI)—many popular and technical texts will use the term "URL" when referring to URI;
    * in strict technical usage, it is a subset of URI specific to identifiers who are primarily locators.

The standard pronunciation of “URL” is as an initialism (“U-R-L”), but some people pronounce “URL” as an acronym (“Earl”).

I've never heard anyone do that, and if I ever did I'd probably punch them in the face.

The URLy bird gets the worm.

Introducing, the Duke of URL.

I can't believe URL Sinclair brought about the end of the dinosaurs.
