You mean "The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach"? That's pretty awesome, and I'd kill for a Mario anime as long as 4Kids stay the hell away from it. ._.

For the millionth time, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World are NOT anime.

I remember watching the beginning of one that is the Japanese folktale, Peach Boy, but in this version Mario teams up with Peach Boy.

I'm all for it. We need a Mario series down here, for old times sake.

Only if it stayed true to Mario.

Knowing how most "game to anime" series works, they'd add a pointless character who gets in the way, then ends up helping at the last second thereby becoming the sidekick.

4Kids would do something weird to mess with it, liek make Dan Green voice Mario.

I am well aware that DiC made the Mario cartoon trilogy.
I assumed that a fairly good amount of members knew about the other Mario OVAs.

I'd like to see a modern Mario anime series, true to the games. Pokemon has done it, Kirby has done it, why not Mario?

No because some dubbing company may screw it up with the voice acting. They need Charles Martinet

This is the one thing that would make me commit either suicide or an act of terrorism on 4Kids.

You know what we really need?

Zelda anime.

Maybe.

The characters look too different from their game selves (Where did yellow and blue Luigi come from!?) with different personalities (with Wario's personality!? Gimme a break!) and an anticlimatic ending ruins the whole thing.

Plus, the dubbing would get messed up, unless Nintendo dubbed it In-house. Remember Hotel Mario's horrid voice-acting? Or Bob Hopkins in the Super Mario live action movie? They were awful!

However, it could work. I would personally, however, prefer a remake of the film released in English, with Luigi replaced with Wario.


Also notice that Mario's playing some game with Milon near the beginning.
