So, do you believe that people are abducted by aliens?


I'm about 99.9% against. Which to me is 100%, I try to avoid ever hard lining on a subject that can have changes as more data becomes available.

I feel most of the instances where people say they were are horribly misconstrued and/or exaggerated.

But I believe aliens may have been here, and I DEFINITELY believe there's life outside our own visual spectrum..

No. And I believe that those people believe that they were abducted are most-likely schizophrenic or terribly traumatized/depressed rather than abducted. No offense, please! I don't want to sound narrow-minded or anything but I just don't believe in stereotypical aliens...

Also, the evidence is always blurry and not clear enough. It's also easy to manipulate films and photos these days.

And IF aliens truly existed; I don't think that they would actually abduct humans. I mean, where not primitive so I think they'd carefully try to communicate with us rather than abducting.

We aren't primitive in our eyes, we may be in theirs.

The thing is the 'memories' of alien abduction are often coerced in when the people visit therapists and hypnotists. The people can create the memories unconsciously and remember them as if they are real. This happens a lot, with a lot more than just Alien Abductions too. Satanic Rituals, Rape, "Visions", all of these can easily be created memories to unconsciously please the hypnotist.

Compared to the rest of the universe. Earth means almost nothing. We most certainly are primitive. There's no denying that.

No.

There is more than a 50% chance we are the most advanced life in the universe due to the age of the Earth, conditions for technological growth etc etc

If any species capable of interplanetary travel came to Earth they wouldn't just abduct people because chances are they have a similar situation of crazy people claiming crazy things on their planet.

I do not believe or care in advanced alien life.

Wow, that gif animation is very interesting... It amazed me and yet it kind of scared me. We may be eventually be ants compared to aliens! I wonder how they calculated the sizes of those stars/planets. I've never heard of Sirius, and all those others (outside our solar system) before! I never knew that a star like VY Canis Majoris could be THAT big. (Heck, can it still be considered as a star?!)

.... And to imagine that there are more stars than sand on the earth! o.o

I voted yes because lets face it, it's not impossible, just improbable.

Mainstream may think it's insane, but most scientists would be estatic if the got their hands on a real alien. I'm pretty sure that if we had the technology to go around the entire universe and visit other living beings, the scientific world would do just that.

But like I said. I don't really believe in alien abduction. I simply believe in aliens in general.

All the stars and planets are legit though. I've heard of most of them, and you could probably do a wikipedia or google search. Not sure if that helps.

actually V838 Monocerotis went Supernova a few years ago, so it's no longer that large.

which sucks because it was an awesome pink and purple star.

i do understand that there's a good chance other planets are habitable and could be habited right now

I believe in aliens, though honestly abductions are a little harder for me to take seriously. Especially after all the silly stories my dad used to tell me as a kid about aliens hiding in the clouds and beaming you up on the sun rays that showed through.

God, I believed anything as a kid.

I believe there's life out there, but not that they'll come down here and abduct us.

I'm willing to believe in other lifeforms existing in some other galaxy or universe or whatever, but yeah. The idea of them being able to have flying machines and beams that teleport them into their ships and stuff is kinda too farfetched for me.

I "believe in" nothing without mathematical or scientific proof -- which tends to replace the phrase "believe in" with "know"
