My personal favorite is Super Mario 64. It's the one I began loving Mario with, and nothing, I repeat, NOTHING will compare to the value of the first time ever I picked up an N64 controller with SM64 on. Aah, the good old times...

Super Mario World--great Mario engine, loveable exploration. A great lesson in how games with simplistic stage designs can pwn.

Though, SMB3 has been growing on me as of late...

I have a connection with SMW because it was the game that introduced me to Mario... my cousin had SMAS+World and every time I came to his house I would play it... I was only like 5...

I'm particularly fond of both SMW and SMB3, but SMW just seems so stale compared to SMB3. In SMW, I always know what's coming at me. At least SMB3 kept me wondering what would happen next.

AUGH I don't know, they all have such different tastes.
Probably SMB1-3, SMW, SM64, and Paper Mario 1 and 2.

Oh what a suprise. You made a poll when there are more options than the poll allows.

*sigh*

Anyway, SMB3. Of course, I can't choose anything in the poll, since it's lumped in with SMB2 which is my least favorite Mario game >:(

Err, I meant to ask which SMB2 you were talking about. You know, the SMB2 for Famicom Disc System or the one that was originally Doki Doki Panic.

What he means that there's two SMB2s on NES. One of them was the one you threw vegetables and ****(the US game, which came out in Japan later), and another one which was more like SMB1(which was the original SMB2, and came out in the US as "The Lost Levels" in that All-Stars thing).

Or something like that.

The US one.

How could I hate the lost levels one, honestly.
