Badge System
MFGG uses a badge system. Badges are displayed to the left, under your avatar/user title. The badges are designed to be a fun way of encouraging people to help the site and make the forums a better place.

    General Badges

There are several main types of badges, all of which are detailed here.

Super Submission Badge - Awarded to people who submit files (and the files must actually be accepted.  Sorry!)
    Requirements
    - This badge is awarded to people who submit often to the site, and who submit good things. If you're submitting ripped sprites, they should be well-ripped, your custom sprites should show effort, etc.

The empahsis is, as always, on quality. Those who submit quality files WILL get the badge eventually.  And, as before, asking for the badge is a good way not to get it.

Super Reviewer Badge - Awarded to those who demonstrate skill in reviewing.
    Requirements
-Submit a good number of reviews to the site. No set number, but you should have several.
-The reviews must be QUALITY. Emphasis will be placed on quality. Don't think you're going to get this badge by submitting a lot of incredibly short reviews, even if they ARE well written. Try to make your reviews a reasonable length, use correct grammar/spelling, and back up your statements. These are some good guidelines to follow.

Big Help Badge - Awarded to those who contribute significantly to the site in various manners. The qualifications differ, but if you keep doing things to help out the site, you'll be eligible.

Happy Heart Badge - Awarded to exceptionally well behaved members. You must have been here for at least 2 months to qualify. Your last suspension must have been at least 2 months back as well. And as soon as you are suspended, you lose the badge. Keep this in mind.

While there is no set amount you must post, you must at least post pretty frequently. If you hardly post, how are you going to get warned in the first place?

Super Happy Heart Badge - Based on the same criteria as the Happy Heart Badge, but this badge is awarded to members who have gone unsuspended for a full year.  This badge replaces the Happy Heart Badge.

Ultra Happy Heart Badge - Same as above, but this one is for members who have lasted an amazing five years of no bans.

Admin Badge - "Awarded" to admins, this badge is either the easiest to get or the most difficult, depending on who you are. They serve absolutely no purpose except to help new members distinguish between who is and isn't an admin with relative ease.

Mod Badge - Same as above, this is awarded to mods.

Host Badge - Same as above, this is awarded to site hosts.

Badge Mod Badge - Same as above, this is awarded to badge moderators - people with the ability to give others badges (note; all admins and global moderators have this ability as standard).

Site Staff Badge - Same as above, this is awarded to site staff (the people who work on the main site).

MFGG Award Badge - Given to users who win in the annual MFGG awards.

Operation C.L.A.M. Badge - Awarded to users who participated in Operation C.L.A.M.

Secret Santa Badge - Awarded to users who participated in MFGG's Secret Santa event.

Event Badge - Awarded to users who have won an event. Events happen at seemingly random times in the CCC and aren't connected to competitions.

    Competition Badges

There are several different types of these badges. All these badges have a number in the lower right corner which indicates the number of contests you've won. Once you win 5 contests, the badge will just say 5+. It'll stay that way as you win more and more. If it's that important to you that people know EXACTLY how many you've won, put it in your sig or something.

1st Place Sprite Comp Badge - Awarded to someone who places first in a sprite competition.

Runner-Up Sprite Comp Badge - Awarded to someone who places second place in a sprite competition.

Top 5 Sprite Comp Badge - Awarded to someone who places in the Top 5 of a sprite competition. Also, you won't get this badge if you win a gold or silver badge in the sprite comp. This is just for people who place in the top 5 but don't win the competition itself.

1st Place Drawing Comp Badge - Awarded to people who win a drawing comp

Runner Up Drawing Comp Badge - Awarded to those who place 2nd place (runner up) in a drawing competition.

Top 5 Drawing Comp Badge - Awarded to those who place in the top 5 of a drawing competition.

1st Place Minigame Comp Badge - Awarded to people who win a minigame comp

Runner Up Minigame Comp Badge - Awarded to those who place 2nd place (runner up) in a minigame competition.

Top 5 Minigame Comp Badge -  Awarded to those who place in the top 5 of a minigame competition.

1st Place Music Comp Badge - Awarded to people who win a music comp

Runner Up Music Comp Badge - Awarded to those who place 2nd place (runner up) in a music competition.

Top 5 Music Comp Badge -  Awarded to those who place in the top 5 of a music competition.
