| Yep, here it is. Wasn't expecting to be posting the next one at all, but it's cool. Congrats to the others in the Top 5, you guys had some awesome entries there. Anyway, enough about the previous comp. Some are probably not going to be happy with the game that I chose, but whoopee~ Super Paper Mario. Yeah, I went there. Rules: -- You can ONLY sprite characters that are exclusive to SPM. That means no Bowser, Koopa, Goomba, etc. Any character that fits this is allowed, even bosses. You get the picture. -- Any style is allowed, EXCEPT Paper Mario/PM2. -- No edits whatsoever. Oh yeah. Did I mention that there's a... TWIST?! You MUST make whatever you sprite more realistic than it appears in the game. What exactly do I mean by this? Well... -- Depth. Your sprite needs to have some kind of real shading to get rid of the 'paper look'. REQUIRED. -- NO POLYGONS. Except where appropriate, of course. Round things out, and don't be afraid if things look different. But don't take this to the extreme, all I mean is to round out corners and such. ... That should be it. | WIP Nastasia, Mario is there for comparison. I don't know about her hair and her glasses, but other than that I'm pretty happy about it. |

 King Sammer looked like a cool guy. I know for a fact I'm gonna remove the black outline, cause that makes it look papery. You guys have any suggestions? |

The white part of his cloak around his neck needs to be less pointy. Looks out of place. He also could use better shading, he's a bit pillowed where you have shaded. BTW first post updated. |

It looks to flat, and cylindrical. It is also extremly jagged. Smooth it out, and add an extra shade. |

If you want it to be closer to the style, I'd take out the outline on the inside. Also, maybe make it look less blocky/floaty limbed since the theme is to make them appear as though they were from a norml game. |

 Cave Story style. Using two layers as I count most bosses using 6, while the few layered ones using an additional smaller palette. Planning to actually sheet this. |

WIP MimIRL, I just need to fix up a few issues with the dress ineart and shading before I do the arms and give it proper colours(such as red hair bands etc.) |

I guess it is more of a Pixel art. I've just been trying out bigger types of sprites, thats all. If it is not allowed, I guess I could add talking, blinking, etc, like a mugshot.  |

The light source comes from the top center of the screen, so for him, the light is comming from the top left. It only comes straight down in OW. |

I had no more time alright. I scrapped my old entry because I wasn't satisfied, and I just wanted to get this comp over with. I did have a little burden about posting this though :/ But yeah I get your point. probably wont happen again. |

It doesn't look to stylish tbh. But opinions aren't good crits. It's very hard for me to see the shades on each sprite, upping to contrast would greatly help the sprites, right now the shade isn't doing much of anything. |

Huh, you're right. I think my home computer's color is off. I'm on a school computer now and the shades look less noticble. |

| You guys are doing an awesome job. I love how everything is turning out. Sadly though, today is my last day being here for a while. As in, on the computer. So someone else will need to carry on the comp. I have an entry that's nearing done, but I'm not sure if I want to post it because it's so... Big. Plus entering my own comp might be a bit akward. BTW voting should start tomorrow. |
