| I've been trying for years to upload SMB:TAS 1 to YouTube, but some format problems have made it impossible. Right today I've finally been able to upload it, with a good quality and almost no audio desynchronising. I'm sorry it's in Spanish but I'm translating it right now, it will be in less than a week now I know how to export it. Hope you like it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecS6wEaYF0g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA_Vn4AGi3k |

| THe animation, drawing, and sound usage isnt as good as I think you could make it. At side views, sometimes it looks like their foreheads are just caving into their eyesockets. Dont give up though, I like it. this has potential! |

| Sparks: "I'm translating it right now, it will be in less than a week" With this I meant the episode in English. Mike: This was an experiment of sorts, next episode will have better drawing and animation, thank you for criticism. |

| The wacky sound effects next to that super dark and serious drawing style feels totally out of place. I like the drawings though, while not perfect, the concept is interesting. Also, I don't speak spanish, so I got quite bored after some time... |

| If you need english voices for Mario and others, tell me. I can supply. Is this something you made? |
| Posted by: Morshu McPhereson Oct 24 2009, 02:30 PM |
| No offense but I closed the Youtube page as soon as I saw the city. Oh and why are you misleadingly calling it "The Animated Series" (implying that it's in English) when it clearly is in Spanish? |
| Posted by: Mechant Oct 24 2009, 02:44 PM |
| uhh no hablar espanol muy bueno? |

what are you talking about it's called Super Mario Bros La Serie Animada Episodio 1 Parte 1 |
| Posted by: Kevin Rudd Oct 24 2009, 05:17 PM |
| You do realise the acronym (At this rate, for the first three episodes) will get people confused with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2om0ECn3Saw&fmt=18. You may want to come up with a slightly different name for the show. |

| Okay, watched the first 30 seconds. Made a Youtube comment. This is not good at all. Nothing redeeming as the atmosphere seemed good at first but the sounds ruined that. The lack of voices is not good. The art is terrible and clashes multiple times. I actually can say so much about how bad the art it would be more of a burden on me to type it all out. Oh, and the name made me think you were illegally uploading the series that aired. |

| Even with translations, I still won't understand what's happening. |
| Posted by: Gamesmonkey Oct 25 2009, 09:47 AM |
| This is horrible. The art is horribly designed, sound is out of place and why the fuck would you make Mario darker? Remember SMB:The Movie? |

| Lolling at your response. Stop being a talentless fool and accept that you need to get better. |
| Posted by: Hippopolun Oct 25 2009, 01:32 PM | ||
I think "talentless fool" went over the edge a bit, there's no need to call him that. I think that it's a good start, but it does need improvement. Don't get discouraged, keep trying and it will get better. |

It may have been at tSR, but I've said that if you can't accept even the views of others, not their criticisms, then you really aren't going to progress anywhere past your current abilities. Unless this person goes back and takes into account what follows, he will never get better at this and people won't be interested. Animation wise, you need A LOT more frames. 30 frames for each second is exceptional, and if each frame is slightly different, WHEN NEEDED, then the animation will look a lot better. But of course, animation can only look as good as its art allows it to. You need to practice anatomy a lot as the hands are huge, the faces are disfigured, and the shaping is disproportionate. Bowser looks more like a person in a bowser costume. Certain frame stills DO look good but those are easy to miss. Next is the sounds. Get voices or at least a clip for each person when they talk that FITS the theme. Toad's child-like high-pitched voice does not fit. I'm not taking back what I said right now because it is true, but if you do get better then it can change my opinion. |

| "Well, if you don't like it, you just don't watch it, but don't come here to fuck my day." what. learn to accept criticism mah boi. |
| Posted by: Luigi and Jerry Oct 25 2009, 02:00 PM |
| Needs a lot of work and its a good start. |
| Posted by: ULTIMATE HAMMER BRO Oct 26 2009, 10:07 AM |
| Thanks Luigi and jerry. And Char, about criticism, I don't mind it if it's constructive, not just "this is a piece of ..." but something like "i dont like it but it could be improved by..." |
| Posted by: Gamesmonkey Oct 26 2009, 10:12 AM | ||
Yes but everything needs to be improved, so what's the point in mentioning separate small things? |
| Posted by: EDGE Oct 26 2009, 12:52 PM |
| If you take the time to write down 'this is a piece of' you may as well take the time to write down how to improve it, otherwise you'll be seeing the same kind of work over and over. |

Classic |
| Posted by: TurboMan Oct 26 2009, 01:17 PM |
| You can improve it by learning to draw, not being lazy with animation and actual good sound editing. BUT MASTER TURBOMAN HOW DO I DO THAT? Duh, isn't it obvious?! Training your artistic skills and learning how to use better editing programs! |
| Posted by: Elixer Oct 26 2009, 01:20 PM |
| Looks like a good start. To Flash, I mean. It still needs a lot of work. I would probably practice different techniques, etc. Though I personally don't do so, creating others may cause ridicule towards you. But it looks like you have a good grasp on basic Flash. Keep learning! |
| Posted by: Gamesmonkey Oct 26 2009, 01:34 PM |
| Can you make them, oh I don't know, LOOK like the original characters? |
| Posted by: shroomguy Oct 26 2009, 01:58 PM | ||
Oh God I read that in Francis's voice. Anyway, the art needs some improvement. Practice drawing things before you animate. |
| Posted by: Private Investigator Drei Oct 26 2009, 06:14 PM |
| Hey. Stop being a little bitch about this, EDGE and ULTIMATE HAMMER BRO. I've twice over expanded into detail of what UHB should do. Not only that, but you should be able to tell what I intended anyways instead of taking it like a personal attack. If it was a personal attack I'd say you were shit, not the terrible excuse for an animation that you host on Youtube. |

| This is beautiful. |
| Posted by: ChaosEmerl Oct 27 2009, 12:35 AM |
| I'm not sure I want to see this in english. It's Too perfect the way it is |
| Posted by: Spritanium Oct 27 2009, 12:36 AM |
| Some of the drawings actually look alright, like the profile view of mario at 2:51 for instance. You just got lazy at most points. |
| Posted by: ULTIMATE HAMMER BRO Oct 27 2009, 12:13 PM |
| Spritanium is right more or less, I'm a bit lazy. I'm trying to totally remake animation style and not use laziness for my next videos... |

Can you, oh, I don't know, not stifle someone's creativity? |
