You remember that old arcade game Invaders? No? While, I do. I decided to re-create it...sort of, with Mario!

Controls:
Right and Left arrow keys: You should know by now.
Spacebar: Shoot super/fireball.

While playing as Mario, Super Mario, or Mini Mario, you shoot Superballs, those fireball-like thingies from Super Mario Land. But collect a Fire Flower for rapid-fire fireballs! Also, as Mini-Mario, you have a tiny boost in fire rate.

Don't let the Goombas reach you, or face the consequences!

This demo features 3 different power ups, 3 deifferent level types, smooth animations(Thanks, Gorsal and Bacteriophage!), 24 levels , and 2 bosses! Post your high scores!

Anyways, as for the demo...

Fun idea!

when goombas moved of the screen without directly hitting you, the game just continues vaguelly.

Hmm...That's an "uh oh" on my part. I can fix it...tommorow. For now, I'm going to sleep.

I just noticed! Gomba invaders? You mean Goomba invaders?

This owns!

You really made an excellent Space Invaders engine there.
Feels like the original game.

But at first I thought: Come on, where is that Mario-ized?
Only graphics exchange!

And then as the game goes on, the Mario elements come in the game.
First of all the power-upses. Just great work there, especially that the Minimushroom actually makes sense.
And also the firebars add an extra challenge to this game later.

I'd suggest though that you have the goombas shoot, like in the original.

It should be para-goombas

Nah, normal Goombas work fine...

They should shoot soveryhappys and mario should eat a candy bar. LOLOL.
Seriously:Slug a.k.a Goo a.k.a Goop a.k.a Slime etc. OR fake coins.

I like the way mario runs...its like the NSMB.
Anyway, fun game.

You could get stuck to one of the small blocks when super mario or fire mario. If you run into it, your stuck. If you grow while in one, your stuck. Might wanna check that out.

once a goomba touches the ground, it should make you lose, other than that, its really good

You lose if you hit a Goomba while small or mini.


As for the micro-goomba idea, I'll see what I can do...
