My post is to the right. Group: Moderators Posts: 18175 Member No.: 141 Joined: 16-November 03 Status: (0d)	Metroid has really amazing music. Why have we not done a music competition on it yet? Remix music from any old Metroid series. Do not remix Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, Metroid Prime 3 or Metroid Fusion music. Metroid Zero Mission is allowed, as it's a recreation of the original Metroid (albeit there being more added on, but whatever). So, essentially any song/songs from Metroid, Metroid II and Super Metroid. no rom hacks do not count what the hell are you thinking Current date is April 13th. Entries are due May 4th. If it is, I tell you, I never do medleys for the sake of having as many songs as I can - I do songs for a reason, and I put good time to ensure there's good quality.

also, Strong, whatever you want to do, just make sure it fits the criteria

It's just that some songs really lend themselves to medleys and work well with other songs, you can end up with a good sounding piece of music. In my experience people vote for the track that they like the best overall, even in a non-medley piece you get some parts that are good and some not so good, people vote on the good. So yeah, I'd go for a length limit, more than a style limit. --------------------

I'd suggest downloading lots of songs with .s3m .it .xm filenames and opening them up in Modplug Tracker, and then you can save the instruments and also learn how the program works by looking at other songs.
