About Moderation

Staff can't be here all the time and while we try to do our best at eliminating problems, the staff cannot be everywhere and see everything. If you see something that you believe is against the rules, report the post and we will always do our best to evaluate and handle every situation that is reported and take appropriate action.

Moderation of the rules is left to the discretion of individual staff, nobody else, and that if a decision does not go your way, you have no right to complain about it publicly. If you have an issue with an action a moderator has taken, please PM that moderator, and if you feel the moderator hasn't provided you with a valid reason for his actions, you are welcome to appeal this action by contacting any of the senior staff of the forum.

Flaming, Bashing and Trolling

Hateful, defamatory or personal attacks on another member won't be tolerated, leave outside disputes off the board also. Treat others with the same respect as you would expect them to treat you. Talking negatively to another user or posting topics to incite a negative response is not acceptable.

Debating is fine on certain subjects, but senseless or aggressive debates benefit no one. We encourage intelligent discussions about the merits and flaws of each argument, but insulting or replying rudely against ones argument, opinion and/or viewpoint is unacceptable.

Bashing other communities is also not allowed, please respect other internet communities. Keep outside disputes outside.

Profanity and Obscenity

We do not condone profane or offensive language. Some language use is tolerated but don't go overboard, we will NOT tolerate posts that are full of profanity. Bypassing the filter is not allowed either. You don't have to use excessive profanity to get your point across, and it's usually better to avoid it altogether.

Spam

Senseless, unintelligent, or empty posts are unacceptable. This includes such things as, two or three word responses, continually posting the same topic, posting the same question across several boards and quoting without contributing anything new. Intelligence is still a must in the CCC and these rules may not be abused, it is for casual conversation, not pointless conversation.

We do not allow any advertising or referral links outside of signatures or profiles.

Illegal Material

Linking or giving information about any site that distributes illegal software, ROMs, or media is not allowed, nor is asking for cracks or serials for programs and software. Asking where to obtain these things is also not allowed. You will be banned immediately.

Posting rules and expectations

Please read what the sections are about before posting to avoid posting in the wrong section. If you make a mistake, send a PM to an admin or mod and they will gladly move your topic. Deliberate posts in the wrong section, such as spam in the Help Forum will NOT be tolerated and you will be banned.

Keep your posts and topics suitable to appropriate boards, do not create posts that are deliberately off-topic in order to derail or destroy a topic. Do not continue or parody a locked topic.

Do NOT continue a locked topic or continue a debate in another topic. Do NOT dispute a ban in a topic either, such action will result in you being banned permanently if you dispute your own, or banned for a period of time if you dispute another person's ban. PM a mod or senior staff member if you wish to discuss a ban.

Do not post shout-out topics to other members on the forum where the PM system could be used. These topics will be locked and continued posts of this nature will result in a ban.

Do not bump old topics unless you have something worthwhile to add to them.

Questionable Content

Material that is false and/or defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, racist, sexist, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy or that otherwise violates any law will be dealt with respectively. Use COMMON SENSE when posting, keep it clean and keep it work safe.

Additional Notes

- HTML is a privilege, not a right. Anyone abusing HTML will lose the ability to use it.
- Multiple accounts will be disabled. Don't register more than one account. Private Message an admin for name changes, assuming you can have one.
- You are responsible for your account. You will be held liable for anything posted under your account. Keep your account secure.
