how to keep it from breaking
i know not to put it on carpet cuz it will damage it
anything elese i should know on how not to make it brake

It's not like a feather is going to fall on it and make it stop working.

You say you allready know the common sense procedures to take care of the system (don't drop it, don't spill your drink on it ..) .. that's really all you need. They're built to withstand being yanked off the shelf once in a while.

The gamecube takes one hell of a beating. Unless you're buying one of the first ones made (like I did) you have nothing to worry about.

Well... one thing I'll tell you is don't accidentally put 2 discs in at the same time (belive me I have done this). It won't break the Gamecube but it will damage the discs a whole lot. While this may seem obvious, it has happened to many of my friends too.
