How do I pick him up?

Edit: Thought I should mention it, I can't use the manual very well because it's in Spanish.

I bought it for €39, is that a bargain or really expensive? (Was away in a shopping centre in Spain and walked into a multimedia shop, decided to buy a game)

Also, which is better? The D-pad or touch-screen for moving? I like the D-pad better, but the control is a bit hard to use, and the camera doesn't work in Peach's Castle.

You can't pick things up with Yoshi. Use X or Y to grab the Bob-ombs with Yoshi's tongue, and then spit them back out at him.

Yes, but it's also a room in the castle, up the first set of stairs and to the right door.

One of the pathways in the basement leads to two stone pillars surrounded in water. Pound them to drain the moat.
