Super Mario: The Comic Adaptation Project

Here's the cover for the first chapter, which adapts Super Mario Bros.



Yeah so, I'm finally going to execute what I've been trying to do for the past 5 years: Make a DRAWN comic adaptation of the Mario series. I'm going to cover every major Mario game that existed (Namely the platformers, 3-D platformers, the RPGS) I'm not going to adapt the spinoffs, however.

People always argue that there's a timeline in the Mario universe. Of course, there isn't. But I can do that if I adapt the games.

Here's the prologue. You might expect the Brooklyn backstory, but seeing as how most of those Brooklyn characters seem to reside in the Mushroom Kingdom now, and the events of Partners in Time, I made it so that the Mario Bros always lived in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Every 9 chapters, I'm going to "compile" them into a book. Just to make it look like it was a graphic novel series or something. The first chapter is pretty long, so it's going to pretty much cover all of Super Mario Bros. The rest of the 8 chapters in the book will adapt Super Mario Bros 2.

looks good, but remember, according to Super Mario All-Stars, The bros wore their colors opposite in SMB, just a suggestion...like the art though

Something about Mario's thumbs-up hand and his face seems...off to me. I like the idea for the comic though. And the rest of the picture is great!

Very very awesome. I might suggest changing the overalls to fit the game and try to have some connection between them as why they switched.

I'll probably do that in the next spread.
