I played the closed beta, would've continued playing after lv22 if it weren't for the GMs going all LOLE CHAR WIPE IN 2 WEEKS. So I decided to quit until open beta started, which started about exactly a day ago. I'm going to play some more tonight. My char is lv21 and a half already. \o/

I usually don't like chinese games, might be influence from how terrible the movie/shows always are

...The screenshots make it look exactly like WoW. At least the interface.

If it doesn't take hours of killing the same monster to gain one level, I might try it.

You level VERY fast. You can even get a ****load of exp bonuses. You don't stick to the same monsters for more than 2 levels.

That alone makes me want to try this.

But maybe later. Unless you motivate me more =D

By the way the majority of the players in Hero Online actually isn't a retard. And by that I mean 90% of the players talk with capital letters and actual periods at the end of their sentences.

This game is all depending on luck. And no, not LUK, but actual luck. Monsters drop boxes that need 15k to open it. Whatever is inside is always a big mystery... 10k gold, a bloody potion, or another box worth a million? No one knows. Then there's GM quizes, mainly as anti-bot thingy. You get 300 seconds to solve an easy math question and win a box with it which can also contain quite nice stuff. Then there's lots. Every now and then you gain a lot which either gives you usefull stuff, gold, or an EXP boost (stays until you log off or get a failure lot) The more exp lots you get, the bigger the exp boost is. Eventually you end up getting 150 to 200% of the regular exp.

What items are worth what. Gold is actually worth stuff in this right?

I never buy anything from other people, simply because I find every single item about 20 times until I finally reached its level to use it. And if people really want to sell their stuff they set up stores.

(I always NPC my crap)

Don't sell gems to the NPC store though. Those are usefull and litteraly 5000 times worth more. If your inventory gets full you could always store these in the bank, or be like me and upgrade your items like mad.
