Mario Brothers:, Part V

It's funny how this is a Mario forum and they hate Mario flashes most of the time.

You know what else sucked? The battle scenes. Yeh I went there.


Really, it just doesn't look natural or right, I absolutely detest when people make things like that. It was just so obvious that it was animated. Sometimes it does work, I'll admit - when they don't overdo it - but Mario was too perfect. If something LOOKS like it's been scripted/animated, it fails at its purpose.

But the reason why I hated it because Mario just stands there and dies OOP GAME OVER.

Wow, I never saw any of those before and that was like the lord of the rings for mario. Though I cracked up at the end (even though you shouldn't have).

While the person making this wanted it to be serious, I really can't see how it was supposed to be sad. Personally I found the ending kinda funny.

He made it to fit mario as mostly as possible even if it's a sad movie, duh. You might have also realised that it had to be before the Super Mario Bros. Game events since

he found the fire flowers at first in the movie

and that would be the best way to just eradicate the events and make it unofficial. As far as im concerned atleast.

"Duh"? Don't act like it's obvious. Killing off the characters did nothing to make it fit into the Mario timeline. The creator just felt like making an overly dramatic scene.

Want me to be honest? I was bored out of my mind when watching it. Seeing blocky sprites with text hovering over their heads for half the thing wasn't really much fun.

2nd movie won't load.

At least this is heaps better than that Ninja Mario crap Newgrounds likes so much.

The only thing I really hated was how wordy the dialouge was.

As you might know im new here and when i went to newgrounds this was the first movie i checked out. I was waiting for number 5 forever but then, FINALLY it came.
Now lets hope there is something like it again.

How the hell come everyone says the ending is stupid?

It was alright. A little too melodramatic, but not bad. Drama and 8-bit sprites don't really mix well, but I did enjoy the fight scenes.

Maybe that's why they didn't like it, because it had nothing more to offer than what you already saw. I was actually kind of hoping for Luigi to actually be alive again, and help out

I don't know why. Mario killing himself is just stupid. I guess I saw it coming, but it could also be how badly he pulled it off. You stand still and lava SLOWLY comes at you? Pffft stupid stupid stupid.

IMO, that emphasizes the notion that Mario is giving up.
