I'll put it this way: I didn't want him dead, but I'm not gonna miss him.

Same. I just sorta thought some of the initial reactions here were sorta harsh...

Insider trading like that is against the law. It wouldn't be noticeable if it was on a small scale, but this was hundreds of millions of dollars. Having a huge chunk of that money go into the Bush campaign just came because Ken Lay and Bush were good friends.

I'll put it this way: I didn't want him dead, but I'm not gonna miss him.

I just thought your "Woo" and PK's "Cant sympathize him lol!" was kinda over the top.

Celebrating a guy's death. Woo.

Wouldnt just jail time be fine instead of random death? yeah. smile.gif

Think about it: This guy is almost single-handedly responsible for the bankrupt of thousands of people everywhere. Sure, losing someone is a terrible, terrible, thing. But can you imagine losing all your life savings over 24 hours?

Fileing bankruptcy makes the bills go away.

I was actually hoping he'd get a sentence (based on the charges, it'd be 30-40 years), but hey.

Ah. So no harm done then, right? They can just file bankruptcy and forget about it. cool.gif

Anyway, there is at least one thing that I think everybody can agree on that makes Lay's death tragic: his victims will not be able to sue for punitive damages (only compensatory).

Well, although Bankruptcy hurts your credit. It does help though.

Look at Donald Trump.

Of course he didnt force them to file bankruptcy. >_>
Bankruptcy would get rid of the debt they would have to pay to the company.
