Avatar and Signature rules DISCUSSION LOL

I'd say something like "loose" limits. Something like 300 pixels, if you go over slightly that's fine, but like 400 and up = no. Not something like "301 PIXELS BANNED"

HTML restrictions suck for people that can actually use it without ****ing stuff up. MFGG's like the only forum that allows HTML now. If someone abuses it maliciously then they can just be put in an HTML-banned group

personnaly for a forum like here i would say a size like
650X350

but people would probably disagree with it

I think size limits in terms of dimensions and filesize should be enforced regardless of what users wanna call it.

There should be a general size limitation, anything beyond that or anything the mods/admins deem too large should be edited upon sight

I don't...really know what's so many pixels when I use text in my sig. So, "300 pixels" means absolutely nothing to me.

Your sig and Mario Gamer's are probably about as big as they should get IMO

I think they're fine right now, nothing tragic has happened with avatars and sigs yet.

You should PM people first telling them they have a day to fix their sig.

Not just change it. That pisses everyone off.

And a heads up mine's gonna get another munchie row soon so expect 50 more pixels. For rows after that I'll start removing other parts of the sig.

Only enforce the less than 200KB image limit. And if there's a problem with someone's sig height, just report it.

Personally I get turned off to sigs when there's overlimits.

I've got a WiFi card, animated gif, and some other images; thinking about adding me one of them marquees

Marquees slow my comp down

Like, not badly enough to be a real inconvenience but there is noticeable lag especially when the marquees are huge

I've got a Lou Albano vs Mario sprite avatar, and a Thunder vs Mechabot sig with red words.

Yeah we should probably kill marquees.

As far as sigs go, keep it reasonable and don't stretch tables on 1024x768 and you should be in the green.

I don't need to put quotes, quiz results, 343241342 pictures of my character, nor any of that crap. Just a link to my reference, and some random thing not everyone gets.

I use marquees for my userbars, and I know someone else did once.
I hope that doesnt get taken away for that purpose.

If you're using a marquee now, I can't even see it.

I wouldn't lose any sleep if marquees suddenly disappeared.

I sugest NOT to remove marquee's
That's what keeps my sig Smaler.


as for the size of my sig some stuff is only Temp,
I'l fix it now BTW.

EDIT: There! now TELL me if i need more fixing.
as you can se the marquee makes the LONG list of names not take much space.
(BTW i don't want to remove the Russian text cuz i can't save it on my computer, it No suport That kind of text)

What I don't unerstand is why people put so many images in their sig to begin with, and why they're so cluttered and disorganized. In the case of your sig PK, you could make similar sized buttons as the ones for your DA and MFGG button for your SheezyArt gallery, and the K-board button. All of that would go on one line. The missing file stuff could go under that, and maybe you could put those animated Koopa GIFs on either side of that as a bullet or something...the rest of that is a bunch of random stuff that's thrown on there and makes the sig really big.

Not to single you out or anything, just using that as an example of a sig that's growing large because of all the random stuff thrown in
