I just spent over half an hour writing a review for this game and when I clicked submit, I got this screen! I worked hard making that review and is there anyway to recover it? If not, I just wasted a bunch of my time and I'll be extremely mad.

1.) If your browser/ZoneAlarm blocks referrers, disable that function.
2.) Write your reviews in Notepad next time.

Sorry, nothing else we can do.

How can I find out if my Zone Alarm blocks referrers?

You have to be kidding me. I worked hard on that review. :/

Firefox caches submit forms and they will not be blank if you Back to the page.

Internet Explorer however will gank you and you'll lose all your crap.

Yeah, there's really nothing we can do. I'm sure RII will have a look into it to see what caused the error. I know that doesn't help bring your review back, but there's really nothing that can be done.

When I clicked the back button, I got some screen I didn't like and usually do not press the back button for.

The site is actually supposed to recover your reviews/submission information if you press the back button (or click the error link which does the same thing).

In this particuarly case however, your data probably wouldn't have been saved, because this was your session timing out. I've made some changes to hopefully prevent the data being lost, but I do have some work that needs to be done with the session handler to prevent that error altogether (after a quick inspection I couldn't find a reason for it).

did you have to accept the submission rules before writing that? That's the only case where it would need to resend data I believe.

That's why you got that message. Firefox was simply telling you that it would have to re-transmit POST data. Sometimes that's a bad thing, sometimes it doesn't matter. In this case, it's necessary.

My advice in the short-term is if you've been on a page for an hour or more, save your work before submitting. In the long-term, I'll be trying to make it a non-issue.

I wish there was a warning about that before I clicked submit. :/

I have a question, are we able to edit our reviews? If so, I might make a short review and then enhance it later on because that garbage fangame really earns the low score.

Yes, reviews can be edited like any other submission, from the My Submissions page.

Well I just submitted a review that I barely spent any time on and I guess I'll just wait a few days before it's up on the site if they allow it considering how unexplained it was on why I think the game sucked. On my original review, it was detailed paragraph after detailed paragraph on why I thought it sucked.

You can still modify them while they're in the queue. In fact, that's probably the best time.

I really don't want to remake it. I don't like remaking something I spent a lot of time on. I still can't believe my original review got lost. Is there anyway to recover it at all like through the detabase?
