Pokemon is gay.

I wasted a year and a few hundred dollars on that ****.

Yeah and I'm not a huge fan of it either, but that doesn't mean you two should bring your "I HATE POKEMON" *****ing into the topic if you're not gonna contribute something useful to the discussion.

As for that possible Electabuzz evolution, I have to say, it's one of the better-looking ones I've seen so far, especially considering a lot of the new ones as of late look far from charming.

I imagine thunderpunch, icepunch, etc. will still be affected by type.

It just won't take into account SP. ATK and will be based on regular ATK instead. Which I think makes a lot more sense.

Yeah, except that makes ****ing sense.

That'll stop many annoying pokemon who think they can bust a ghost's ass by using those.

Unless of course you're referring to a ghost's special defense... I've never noticed any significant damage compared to other attacks on a ghost.

Then what'll happen to the whole ice part of ice punch?

What's so hard to understand? He's theorizing that using Ice Punch on a Pokemon weak against ice would cause more damage. And the base damage would be determined by the ATK instead of the SP.

In other words, exactly the same as before but this time based on ATK instead of SP

Well that seems pretty looney, especially since Ice, Elec, and Fire have all been tied to SP.ATT

PK, stop worrying about the change and start thinking about why it's being changed. A punch is physical. SO IT SHOULD DO PHYSICAL DAMAGE.

The damage will still be affected by type. So you shouldn't be worried.
