Four new posters

New bits of info:

- Writer-director Kevin Munroe was present and revealed five minutes of footage from the anticipated film, which is set after the second live action movie.

- He said that the film will feature hidden jokes from the comics and animated series.

- Splinter will be voiced by Japanese actor Mako. The other voices will be announced in a month, but they are not well-known celebrities.

- Shredder is not the villain in the story, though he does make an appearance, which might set up the conflict for the sequel.

- Expect Casey Jones and April to develop a relationship.

- Marco Beltrami is doing the score, and they are looking to create a theme for the "Turtles" CG movies, something memorable like the "Batman" theme.

- One of the scenes shown features a turtle dressed up for a kids party, and the kids beat him up, with one of the little girls kicking him in the balls. A lot of action scenes were also shown, like the turtles on skateboards, hang gliders, etc.

- The movie features a bat character and female ninja characters.

- There is a human villain, who may or may not be named Winter.

That's memorable enough.

So is this supposed to be the film equivalent of the current TMNT cartoon, or is it going to be a an eloquent homage to the comics and 'original' television program?

By the way, I think it was a good idea to not have humans in the trailer - that way people won't get the first impression that a CGI turtle standing next to an actor looks like ass.

I'm pretty sure it's not based off of the current cartoon.

And it's full CGI not a mix of both live action and animation.

O, ok. I hated Scooby Doo because of that.

Anyway, I really hope the director of this remembers what TMNT was always about - being a different sort of super hero franchise. It's evident through the trailer that they're trying to make this movie entirely "hollywood", when I don't think Eastman and Laird envisioned that judging by the entirely satirical and jocular nature of the original comics and TV show.

They kinda look like frogs in the trailer. But man, that trailer was cool.

Original TMNT movie was best.

I couldn't view the large version but the other versions work fine. So try those as well.

I'm not sure what to make of the animation. It looks okay, but not as good as it should.

I think it's the facial animations that do it. They have the same expression on the entire time, and their faces are stiff. Even when one falls in the trash can, and Leonardo looks over and shakes his head... his face DOESN'T CHANGE. His head just shakes. That bothers me.

They had that problem with the first movie I think. But the second one was much better.

No they didn't. Those movies weren't animated.

What did I say about the animation? I'm talking about facial expressions. What are you talking about?

THIS movie is animated.

THIS movie isn't using puppet work for the faces.

So I expect the facial expressions not to be like the original two movies. I expect the faces to stretch and squash and distort themselves based on the expressions, because it's animation.

I can't see the trailer.

Again, I understand that they're different. I'm just saying that I think they had that problem in the first one, and that it'll be taken care of in the new one.
