Make a sprite for each section of the health thingy, and draw it on the screen. Each time mario takes damage, remove a section of the health thingy, using variables or otherwise.

Try making a variable that starts at eight, and every time mario gets hit remove one, and remove the last health object. When you gain health, add one, and draw the next health counter on screen, but make sure it's not over eight. When the variable reaches zero, destroy the last piece of the counter and do a mario death scene however you wish.

I know. I used Klik n' Play here to mean how cheap the effect is.

i know how to do the dieng stuff, i just need help drawing it on the screen
