I get a message saying "This device in slot A/B cannot be used"

What does this mean, and can I do anything about it? I've used this memory card before, and it worked fine, but now it doesn't.

If it dosen't work on any games, the Card is Dead. So test it. Another possibility, do you have no space on the card?

Well, I get the message when I try to look at the files. If it's dead, is there any way to revive it? I have heard of people "resetting" the battery before.

It's the one that comes with the Action Replay. A freind of mine gave it to me when his AR went kaput.

I did that earlier, and that didn't help. I'd get a new card, but I'm flat broke. (And I ain't about to sell my SNES.)

No. In fact, that's where I get the message. (I have yet to test it with a game.)

You should never use the memory card that comes with an AR for anything but storing AR data, they never last long other wise.

It's an Action Replay memory card? Well, then of course it's not going to show up on the gamecube's memory card file selection, it's to be used only with the Action Replay for Gamecube, to save it's codes. You can't view it with the gamecube memory card file selection.

Yes you can. You can save things to it other then AR codes, but as Banana Head said, you shouldn't do that.

I'd try what everyone else suggested, if not just buy a new one, you can probably get one for 5 dollars used.

... no you can't. When you insert it, and try to save a game, it'll say there's no memory card inserted/current memory card cannot be used.

Well then what the heck I think I hate my AR card now. I'm unable to save information onto there.

I found out that once you remove the memory card and immediately place it in Slot 1, it wont read it as a memory card. however if you take it out and let it sit for a bit and then placed it in... it will more than likely read it as a memory card.

Do not listen to people who say that AR memory card currupt your data, its the game you're playing that has a crappy save system.

There is a lot of room on those memory cards
