Because MFGG won't accept it until more is available than just walking around and chatting. The idea is that there's not much game involved at this point.

Besides, if he's updating it all the time it'll keep going back to the mod queue, and take a few hours until it's been approved by two staff members.

Okay this is not really good but it opens a Browserwindow and download the newest version when you click the button "Download". I will make an updater later.

...why not just link to the download instead of making an application that links to the download.
