MORE Game Maker Help, SM64 Style health

I need a code for the wheel type health system in SM64. The code just needs to say that whenever Mario gets hit by an enemy, it goes down one.

EDIT: Forgot...I also need to know how to make the lives, score, and stars display as SM64 numbers. I'm such a Game Maker n00b.

lives, score, and stars
Lives- You want it to be displayed as Hud? right?
Well thats easy. I will make an example
score- Coins and stuff?
easy to "will make and example"
stars- OOBERLY easy

Great! Helped a lot. But can you tell me what to do for a font...Though I'm lucky enough to have version 6 to view your file, I'm using version 5 and it doesn't allow fonts.

ooh, i dont know, never used 5 im really sorry, i guess you have to use the custom font
