Same. I didn't play Ocarina for several years once I saw the Redeads. :|
I was very upset and stuff when I learned that my parents were potheads. I know now that it really isn't that big of a deal, but school brainwashed me into thinking that.
There was an episode of Scooby Doo about vampires or something I saw as a kid. I was in the kitchen with my mom, and she left the room for a few minutes. There was this scene where the villain calls some chick and turns her into a vampire or something over the phone by hypnotizing her. Her eyes scared the **** out of me. I didn't get to sleep that night.
One time in Preschool, I was playing Hide and Go Seek with some other kids, and hid under the slide. Little did I know there was an anthill under there, and ants were crawling all over my pants. That wasn't the traumatizing part. The traumatizing part was that my teacher took my pants and shook all the ants out of them. In front of the entire class. I had to stand in my undergarments in front of all of them. Why couldn't she have just let them play a little bit longer? That's the only thing I can remember about Preschool, besides that one time I went to some kid named "Daniel"'s birthday party, who I sincerely hope wasn't Press Start.
When I lived in Plano, one of our two cats got ripped apart by coyote or something. I didn't see it, but I did see her guts strung across the sidewalk.

Once when I was really little (like 3 or 4), I played with my grandma's fabric cutter (it's was one of the kinds that looked kind of like a pizza cutter), and wondered what would happen if I ran it across my hand with the safety guard down. An hour later, the nearby pale blue dresser had smears of dried blood. I'm not sure what my parents did. I know I didn't get stitchs, so I probably just got a lot of bandaids.
Oh! And a few years ago, when I played outside much more, every now and then I'd get a splinter or sticker from a tumbleweed stuck it my hand. The thing was that it ALWAYS hurt it you tried taking it out. Thus, my dad would have to find some way to subdue to long enough to take it out. Shortest time: Five minutes prep, three seconds pulling. Longest time: A few DAYS prep, five seconds pulling.
Needless to say, I am now afraid of sharps stuff. Not a phobic fear, but I don't like them.
Certain cartoons and scenes in cartoons and video games have always made me leave the room. I don't know why. I think that it had something with me thinking all good guys are ALWAYS good and must never, ever be even accused of doing something wrong, or else the balance of the world DIES. Even though I know better now, I still feel averted to those scenarios.
Last one for now: Video game death. I've told this story before, but I'll go into a bit more detail. One day, my dad went outside to smoke and let me play LoZ:LttP. I chose to stay in Karakiko because I didn't like (or know how) to fight. But then I talk to one of those crazy ladies that summons a guard, and didn't know what to do. So I did what any 3-5 year old would do: Scream and mash random buttons. By the time my dad came back in and regained control, Link had gotten killed. Rather badly. The fear of video game death stuck with me for years.

I do suppose I have a less morbid trauma, but be warned, it is still pretty disturbing... Freaking PEE-WEE HERMAN. I'm sure I've mentioned how I was afraid of him as child, but you don't know how deathly, DEATHLY I was afraid of him. We had this talking Pee-wee doll (and I'm pretty sure we still do have it somewhere), and I must say it looked creepy as hell. And when it talked... EEK! That was it for me. I, a mere 2-year old, couldn't take the stress any longer, for the foul demon had scratched the very walls of my soul. And then, when I was about 3 or 4, I had in some manner, a terrible outburst in public... in a library I believe. Point is, my behavior was atrocious. My punishment? My mother took the Pee-wee Herman doll out of storage, and left it there, in front of me... *gulp* And I was never the same again.

When I was 4 or 5, I was holding onto the handle on our garage door for some reason
then the door started opening and I didn't let go :)
