New Isometric Collaboration?, GO FOR BROKE

I want something Zelda related D:

But this isn't a sprite competition, nor a drawing competition.

Why not just use the general theme of "games"? It'd be interesting to see how people link up the isometric pieces when they can range from Zelda to Feel the Magic!

That'd be a great idea.

Only problem there is that people had enough trouble as-is getting the different areas to blend when we were doing one game, so I can only imagine how chaotic a general "games" iso collab would be. If we did it, people would seriously have to...well, collab or it'd end up looking like ass.

Maybe there can be seperate "islands" for each game series?

Someone needs to start a voting topic or something, because there's no way everyone here is going to have the same choice in games.

Or someone needs to be placed in charge of these, and they need to make the decision.

Islands? I think it'd be a lot more fun to have the different series "interacting" with each other on a big map. With islands you may as well be doing a bunch of seperate small collaborations. It'd require more teamwork, but I think we can pull it off with a theme as open-ended as that.

You know what, that's even better.

I'm really starting to love the idea of a games free-for-all now. Could add a fantastic emergent competetive aspect: I can see groups competing to claim territory for their fave games :D

As long as there is a lack of Iblis Triggers and gun-shooting hedgehogs.

I also suggest that we add a rule: one sprite-of-a-character per collab.

There were like 5 marios in the first collab. I'm sure the same problem is in the other collabs too lazy to check. :[

Well, I don't think that's too bad considering they were Mario-themed collaborations. It showcased his many travels, so to speak.

They were all of his lives. Gotta do something once you get 99. How would you pick who did Mario and who did Sonic and who did Snake and so on then?

Anyway. Cave Story shall conquer this collab. Join me if you want victory. Any challengers will be dealt with using extreme unnecessary shouting.
