you cant use both the platform object and the defalt platform movement at the same time if you did. To fix that collision problem cheak your events on the collision.
It should be this: +test for obstical overlap +*character* overlaps a backdrop - object does overlap an obstical ----------------------------------------------------------------- If that isn't the case, you need to make a mask(a big box or something) around that character and make the events for that mask.
