The story of a man who could only count to #1, Talladega Nights: Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Will Ferrell is not the actor he was two years ago. His career is finally starting to go downhill. Anchorman is probably my favorite comedy of all time. Hopefully another flick with Adam McKay should bring him back on track. And let me tell you it apparently has.
The main issue with Ferrell as of late is that he's playing normal everyday guys. (See Kicking and Screaming, and Bewitched) I don't want to see him do that. I want to see him be such an outrageous guy that it's funny. (See Anchorman, Old School, and Talladega Nights)
Talladega Nights, while not anywhere as funny as Anchorman, is a step in the right direction. Plenty of laughs, good characters, and a "relatively" smooth plot. It's editing is a rather sloopy job as you'll find a scene that you'd think was a dream but is actually not. It's just not smooth like I said. John C. Reilly is good in this movie too and fends for himself when standing alongside Will. It's good to see some old faces too; David Koechner (Champ from Anchorman), Molly Shannon, and Greg Germann.
The movie is a fun ride, but don't expect it to come close to other Ferrell classics.

His best movie is still "A Night at the Roxbury."

And am I the only person who hated "Old School?"

I didn't think he was that great in the movie version.

Starting? It's been snowballing since he left SNL.

Not really, some of his best movies came out after 2002.

This movie kicked ass.

8/10? It's worthy of a 9/10 compared to every other regular comedy movie you've rated the same thing. Most comedy movies in theaters suck, and yet some of those average comedy movies you have reviewed yourself, you act as if this is just like that. The thing is, this movie was hilarious. Most comedy movies just have a single moment for people to get one laugh out of, but this had several, plus a lot of the moments were just great. It's no Anchorman, but it's still fantastic.

I like to imagine Jesus as a guy wearing a tuxedo T-shirt. It's like he's trying to be formal, but he's also showing that he can party.

That entire dinner scene at the beginning was absolutely amazing.
