I'm using Paralax BG, so all the background objects are active objects.

I designed my entire test stage to look like this

but when I go about half-way through, this happens

and, after a while, the ground tiles dissapear altogether.
What am I doing wrong?

It looks to me that your ground's multiplier makes it scroll faster than the actual frame.

Therefore, you'll run out of ground before you run out of frame.

Could you elaborate on this please?

You have to have active objects for EVERYTHING for paralax to work in TGF. So, yes.

You don't need them for the ground you stand on though

TGF has a 250-ish object limit, so it's probably nuking the ground tiles

That makes sense. But if the ground tiles are BG, then the backdrop (which is active, for
paralax scrolling.) overlaps the tiles. I was thinking, what if I combine the floor tiles into several chunks, rather than god-knows-how-many 16X16 tiles?

That could work if vertical parallax is that important, but it's probably not the best solution

though it could work for now

What do you propose I do as an alternative.

I just did the chunk thing and cut down the floor to only 4/5 tiles.

If I continue haveing problems with paralax, I may just dump it altogether.

I may just dump it for the most part, due to the fact that my test level alone is over 7 megabytes! huh.gif And I haven't even added enemies, blocks, or any other "Important" Active Objects.
