Mfgg Holiday Funfest Contest, Make a Christmas game or get whacked

I posted a Christmas game in the PPP, and Kritter was like "dude let's have a contest" and I'm like "sweet ok".

Or something like that.

Anyway! Trying something new here...a Christmas contest. Here are the RULES, because I have to be a b*stard and ruin Christmas by making rules:

1. Must be Christmas related. That should be bloody obvious.

2. Try and make it Mario or MFGG related. Unless you come up with something that is absolutely BRILLIANT, try and make the game at least have something to do with Mario and/or MFGG. It's just more fun and relevant that way.

The deadline for entries is December 24. So that gives you a little over 4 weeks to get something done. Obviously, since you only have 4 weeks, you won't want to be very ambitious.

On December 24 we'll vote on the winners out of all games submitted in the same way we vote for the winners of sprite comps (unless any of you think of a better way to decide on a winner).

The winner will get something, we don't know what exactly yet, but I've offered to draw anything the winner wants (within reason...I'm not going to satisfy your dirty little furry pr0n desires or anything).

That's it I think. You can make a serious game that touches the hearts of all who play, or you can make an absolute disaster. Your choice. Have fun!

Edit: Note that you may work in teams to get your game done. All winners on the team will receive a drawing from me, and we'll see about what other prizes can be offered.




When you finish your game, you can either wait until near the deadline to submit it, or post it straightaway. Please post the games in this topic. Also, you can always submit more than one game, it works JUST LIKE SPRITE COMPETITIONS so happy gaming.

My game will be kind of MFGG themed, in that it will have me in it, and will play like a Mario game.

hmm... i have a santa pacman game i was working on where you're a santa head and you eat cookies, and kids chase you with flashlights, and if you eat the z's they fall asleep for a bit. heeheehee

Har har. Just had an idea. It'l prolly use the engine of my next game, Mario- *silences* sorry. Almost ruined it all.

It shall be a simple, platform beat-em-up using a RCR-style Santa versus a variety of videogame canines. You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll wonder out loud "What the hell is this ****?"! You'll blast Rexator off the face of the planet (Yes, you'll have to do that in one bit)!
