Story

It's another average day in the Mario household. Mario goes out to rescue the princess, who is kidnapped by Bowser yet again... and Luigi stays home and does necessary chores... Luigi then decides he wants to go for a walk, and when he leaves his house, he's greeted by a fairy.

"Hi there! My name's Dachi! Are you Mario?"

Luigi, about to correct him, is immediately interupted by Dachi. He then rushes to conclusions that he is Mario.

"We need your help! Our kingdom is under attack by a horrible man, who locked all of my friends up in cages! I managed to escape, but I need your help!"

Luigi, who's usually cowardly, accepts his request and sets out to rescue Dachi's kidnapped friends and kingdom!

But... could this new foe be too much for our hero in green...?

Features

Play as Luigi, guided by the misguided Dachi, to save the Fairy Kingdom and rescue Dachi's friends!

No two levels are alike! There's a new challenge waiting wtihin each level!

Over 20+ caged fairies to free, hidden items, and secret paths!

Tough bosses like the dreaded Goomboss, the swift Lakitu, and the vile Piranha Prime!

With a funny dialouge and an interesting new story, this will be Luigi's best adventure yet!

Well the engine is WAY better than any other ones i've seen. I can't find a good one to use yet.

I'm editing this one engine which is hard to do because it's in mff but I hardly use mff.

I planned to put in power-ups and other items a while ago but I never got around to it until now... ohmy.gif

I've already put a 1up, a super mushroom (restores health), a power star (temporary invincibility), and warp pipes.

There might be more power ups I'm keeping under wraps... wink.gif

Though the engine isn't anything special, the level design makes up for that. The boss fight needs work, but overall its a fun demo.

Okay, I have a confession to make... I don't know how to make a jumping sprite (When I tried it, he'd jump and when he landed, keep the jumping sprite), so I copied off of SMB2 and made it so that when Luigi jumps, his feet shuffle. ohmy.gif

Do you use DnD or GML?

Either way, just have it so if position (0,1) is collision free the sprite is set to jump. If there is a collision at position (0,1) and the sprite index is equal to jump change it to stand.

you need the overworld of MLSS

also,make up a pal that luigi could ride on or use,like perry or yoshi

also,make up power ups.,add a store,so you could buy power
ups and costumes.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I already have a plan for the game.

Yes, there will be a shop where could purchase things like lives and unlockables using blue coins acquired after completing a level, but I absolutely refuse to use M&L sprites in a sidescrolling platformer. It doesn't look right. Plus, if you could see from the screenshots, I have updated the SMW sprites with sprites made by Ty_m7ue and oldskoolmario.

Thank you for trying the game and your suggestions, but I'll stick to what I've got. laugh.gif
