What in the hell is this?, Is this some kind of scam?

I decided to check my email because my clan ({MSC}) has a yahoo group.

While searching through my email, I happened to find this:

Yeah, those are pretty much scams or so I heard...I got a similar one too but I think it was about someone who claimed to be a Christian convert who's on their last months of life and tried to get me to do something similar or something...I forget what it was cause I left it in the junk mail to rot...(but they failed at scamming me cause I'm always suspicious about such emails >:) )

This is a very common scam.

How could you even doubt this as a scam; don't you have junkmail turned on?

it's a 419 Nigerian advance fee fraud scam my friend.

My advice for dealing with this:
Reply with an email containing
1.A link to a site warning about this scam,
2.As much swearing as is physically possible,
3.Both of the above.

NO. WRONG. NO.

Never reply to scams and spam. They are often mass sent to thousands of emails just to see who will reply; that email is then registered as being ACTIVE. SO THEY SEND YOU MORE EMAILS.

Delete anything like that/put it in your junk mail filter, and move along.

I happen to be Nigerian myself. I don't agree with this crap, however.

They usually get your email from guestbooks. I have a hotmail account especially created to mess around with them, it's callled "scambaiting"

Basically you screw around with the scammer, throw them bait, but whenever they want you to pay something in advance, refuse and order them around, remember, you're the one with "the money" so they'll usually do anything they can to get that money... that's when getting them to take pictures holding humiliating signs, signs with your false name which doesn't even have to be that crafty, they don't even raise suspicion if you're pseudonym is 'lik miballs' or something. So ya it's fun. I had one guy wait around at an airport for a few hours for a flight that didn't exist. It's a good way to get revenge on those low-lifes and also if they're busy dealing with you it's keeping them from actual potential victims.

this junk is so common i just got one a month ago first one and i never had one since
