The topic is, of course, Yoshi's Island 1.5. To summarize the post i just linked to, YI1.5 is a game concept semi-sequelling Yoshi's Island ala Lion King 1.5 where we follow Kamek's side of the story as he attempts to stop the yoshies himself and retrieve baby mario to prove prophecies wrong for Baby Bowser So here's the deal. Draw something related to this concept! It could be a demo of a move or two, a boss scene, a cut scene, mini-game, ANYTHING goes, whether you draw something based on one of the ideas that the lot of you contributed to that post earlier or you come up with something different/your own. Basically, you're going to visualize your ideas/contributions, and even if the idea wasnt yours, the way you visualize it will still be yours. This topic seems a lot bigger than the last one, so the entries are definitly going to be greater as well. Another point of this round is to test all entrants in terms of dynamics and composition, which means if you just draw Kamek randomly standing in a white space doing nothing, that's not much of a contribution. I won't even look at it. okay, maybe i will. :O If you're drawing a move demo, draw the moves and perhaps some foes/objects that Kamek or whoever your subject is will be interacting with (aka throwing an egg at someone/thing or ground-pounding a stake or broomstick flying through an obstacle course or whatever). And if you're doing a scene like a boss stage or something, try drawing the whole scene as you would see it on the screen. Whether you're uber detailed at BGs n stuff or not isn't the point here, but the fact that the characters and stuff are drawn in a space where the ground and walls and where on it they're positioned at are distinguished will make the "scene" more readable, otherwise it wouldn't really be called a "scene" at all, now would it? As for references, if anyone can find some/needs any, i'll edit them into this post when i come back. Composition and creative use of ideas is what i look for as a priority in these entries, as well as style (whether you use your own or an existing mario style). And since I'm expecting this competition to be a bit tougher than the last one, I'm making the deadline 2 weeks from now on August 11th. Have fun! and if you dont like this, that's what you get for voting for me! ---- For the Klobberoonie! *holds broomstick in the air* This post has been edited by Naval on Jul 28 2004, 01:20 AM

We already know what Yoshi's Island is. most, if not all of us have a copy of the game and blabla bla.
This contest is for coming up with new concepts and ideas, not re-drawing ones that already blatantly exist. :o

I've never played Yoshi's Island.
