Animal Crossing is still called "Animal Forest" in Japan, the GCN version was Doubutsu no Mori +, and the DS version is Oide yo Doubutsu no Mori.

It's Animal Crossing. It was the original version, but Animal Crossing is not some fancy take off, all the sprites and 3D models in your screenshots exist in the newer versions too. The game was remade many times because 64DD never took off, and because the GCN game didn't have a very accessible multiplayer (and yet it sold very well).

I already know this (I stated it earlier).

When you can't play the GC version, this is better than nothing.
And WW isn't as good as the original!
