Klobber told me quite a bit about the first, and since I of course couldn't find it anywhere, I reserved Disgaea 2, and today I went to Gamestop and got my copy. The game is incredible, even considering that after three chapters now, the only area you can freely move around is the town you start in. The combat system is a blast, plus character creation is of course a cool thing. There's also a wacky senate thing where you can ask for them to approve of things such as extra experience, being able to create an old man for a character, etc. It's somewhat difficult to do, since even if you give the people good items to sway them to your side, they usually don't change their view too much. If you mess up, you can always fight them, although their levels are ridiculously high. Klobber was right, the games are pretty funny, and there were plenty of things I was surprised to hear, and the item descriptions are priceless. I've been playing for six straight hours, and as soon as my brother finishes up in the TV room, I'm going to play some more. I have no idea how long the game is going to be, but I was offered a guide by Gamestop, which I did not get but it was extremley thick. The box says over one hundred hours of gameplay, and I truly hope that's true, since I like this game a lot. Although I never played the first one, I believe several characters return in this one, which you probably knew if you looked anything up on this. The only flaw I can think of is how long it takes to level, especially conisdering how the villain's daughter says he's level 100,000,000 or something insane like that. The game is fantastic though, and I want to get the first one now, since I'd assume that one is very good too. Only thing I kind of dislike is Adell, since he's pretty lame.

All of the ones you listed are flatchested. XD Rune Knights are the only ones with overly large chests.
I picked up the second one today and it's as fun as the first one, though Item World got a HELL of a lot more brutal. It didn't help that a LEVEL 32 pirate jumped in on my guys on the second floor of an item full of level 3 monsters. But on the flip side they fixed up the Dark Assembly nicely, making it MUCH easier to pass proposals.
While I miss Laharl and them from the first game, Adell's not too bad, and Tink is goddamn hilarious. Rozalin can rot in hell, the smarmy *****.
Oh, and Prinnies still rule, though I don't care for their new voices much.
And the level cap is 9999, Delmore. The level 100,000,000 was a joke.

Thank god it was a joke. Also, I named one of my prinnies after Klobber, plus somehow, both of my prinnies are at the highest levels out of everyone and last the longest. I had to stop right after the felony thing, and yeah, the enemies in Item World are really tough, but I just throw Rozalin near a chest to get the items, then I throw Tink to one of the exits. Didn't Klobber say Laharl joins you later on? I know Etna does.
