Mario Kart DS

I want a new Mario game for my DS, but I fail at grasping the prospect of choice and I don't want to be stuck with something bad. I was hoping that you guys could help... so, please help. ohmy.gif

Though I've never played either of those games, I'm going to go out of a limb here and say that M&L is probably better than SPP. Just a guess, though.
