New Sonic 06 trailer, Looks very actiony, but a bit cliche'

I'm impressed with this trailer, I have to say. Besides seeing Shadow on a bike again (>_<), it looks great. It still has a bit of light hearted humor in it (Like Sonic nicking a robot with his foot with a bell sound, causing it to fall), as well as intense action. Looks great, I'm actually excited for it now, but I'm still a bit skepticle. Voice acting still sucks though so far, I don't like how Sonic sounds.

I like how they gave the illusion that Shadow was the main character and then showed Sonic, that made me happy. Though he shouldn't be in the game, also apparently Sonic is the only "hero" in this, and the other characters are just side storys/plot divices, that's good, I'm glad Sonic is the only hero this time for once.

I hope it's good, the cut scenes look pretty and the gameplay looks nice (Atleast Sonic's does, Silver looks boring and I don't know enough about Shadow yet, though probably will be the same crap as his game though).

It just looks god damn stupid.

It's like they've taken an already existing movie, and crammed Sonic and Co in the main characters' place. Robotnik looks cooler than I expected, better than the "Adventure" one at the moment in terms of being evil, but the princess is completely unneccessary. Now if Robotnik was like that in the Adventure games, it would have made them much better. Better than the "NO WAY, I CAN'T BEELIEEEVE THIS" stuff.

Just because the plot looks bad/cliche'/stupid/rip off/etc doesn't mean it's bad. Sonic's been ripping off cliche' plots since the beggining anyway. I don't care about the plot anymore, as long as the gameplay is good and the graphics are above decent. The princess is out of place, but who cares! I thought the pinatas and FLUDD were out of place in Mario Sunshine but they didn't kill the game for me. I'm not saying this game is going to be amazing, in fact I think it will be just above decent, but the story being cliche' isn't a good enough reason to hate the game. I know this isn't the old skool Sonic we all want, but that's what Sonic Rush/Advance/Heroes is for. I'd like to see more action in the game and cut scenes for once, rather than the characters standing around talking about what's happening. The only thing I don't like is the whole "Iblis Trigger" thing, that's just stupid.

THE GOOD:

*Sonic appears to have his cocky asshole attitude back
*The game isn't a soap opera, there is old school Sonic cartoonish humor in it
*It looks action packed (For lack of another word)
*Sonic's gameplay looks fun to control
*Sonic will most likely be the true "Hero" of the game, the others are side characters/plot devices
*Robotnik hopefully is the main baddy

THE BAD:

*Shadow on a bike >:(
*Cliche' looking plot/Very "not Sonic" like
*The damn princess
*Iblis Trigger=Sonic???

What's so wrong with Shadow taking up a vehicle, it's hopefuly gonna run better then Shadow the Hedgehog what with the physics engines and stuff, it might actually be fun!

Vehicle control might be more fun due to havok physics (The problem with vehicles in ShTH is that they controled like a box), but it's still really damn ridiculous to have a hedgehog who can hover at the speed of sound in a bike.

Conceptually, the game looks awful. The graphics are nice.

Hm. It's looking pretty good, despite it being a little cliche', but I think Sonic needed a little change from the "Eggman's trying to get the Emeralds?! Get them back, Sonic!" routine.

However, I feel that Sonic Wild Fire Sonic... and the Secret Rings is going to be the best choice of the two.

Wow, the trailer looks impressive. This may actually be the first Sonic game I've actually been very impressed with in a while.
