Well It shouldn't hurt tooo bad to spoil it but:

Since Mecha is in love with Pie in the MFGG universe, He underwent a surgery to become human, since of course Queen Pie'd never accept a Chao for an heir. He's still a robot, but now with a humanesque body to pass off as a human.
