http://www.esrb.org/ratings/search.jsp

Astonishing the gaming media (not really), the ESRB manages to post news before any major outlet.

Yes it's true, pump in "Wii" as the console you're searching for ratings on and check out what the last results are.

Several SEGA titles that will be downloadable on the Wii (most of which were previously unknown to be on the console):

- Altered Beast
- Toe Jam & Earl
- Golden Axe
- Columns
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Ristar

Pretty damn exciting if I do say so myself.

I'd be excited for Ristar if I didn't already have it for Sonic Mega Collection. I'd like to see a much bigger list than that, before I get too excited, and more from other companies, especially to see what Nintendo has to offer.

Also, is there any info on the cost etc?

No price information; and I seriously doubt this is all that Sega has committed, considering previous statements to the contrary, and announcements from companies like Hudson promising more than 100 games of their own... the Virtual Console is indeed going to have a deafening catalog to it.

I never played Ristar and I haven't unlocked it in Mega Collection 8:)

Do they mean the entire series or just the first games?

I'm gonna hazard a guess here and say that because it's the ESRB, and because of how I think the Virtual Console is to be handled (and indeed, was handled at E3) that so far only the original Ristar is being referenced.

Each game I listed now has an official ESRB rating of E for Everyone.

I wonder why everyone is so cooped up about playing old games when they can play them on PC for free anyway

There's a more nostalgic feeling about playing them on a system with a real controller that no computer can emulate,
Plus my friends won't be all like "woah u downloaded dis wit pirate magic? :O"

You have jesus controls then, and you must have played it on 1.4 or some old version like that.

....I love just playing random games on the other versions just to see how hilariously bad they look, though.

I give each game its own controls because otherwise it will be nearly impossible to play

However my Zsnes has the same controls for every game
