The initial release is likely to be small, but sice the Wii is supposed to be connected to the net 24/7, providing you have the capabilities, there's always room for expansion. I think even if the Virtual Console only offers a small taste of what it MIGHT become, it will be more than enough to get people interested in the service, and more reason for expansion.

Well the fact that they want these like, player created titles on there as well seems to indicate the scale of this thing is going to be massive, at least eventually. I can't shake the NOA staff quotes that indicate separate packaged releases though, which really probably makes the most sense (think Classic NES series coming out in bundles as it did). Just too easy to look at it and go "omg all the games ever", and then realize business is business and I might be waiting til release 6 for certain games
EDIT: Also, I'm trying to get the Kotaku list but I think they may have taken it down...
