Those kinds of friends are horrible friends to begin with.

There are kids who have two fathers because their mom and biological father split up too.

But they'll still have a mother somewhere (AND they know she exists).
And usually they get to visit their biologically mother often.

Why on earth are you blaming gay parents for that?

Why not the parents who put them up for adoption, huh? There's a few cases where the parents died but it's mostly unwanted baggage and not being able to afford taking care of a child. Which is their fault anyway. If they couldn't afford or didn't want the kid they should've done something to prevent it. Condoms, birth control, etc.

But don't blame adoptive parents for it.


At least they'll know they're loved. Regardless of who it is.

And I totally agree with you about the adoption part.

I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to adopt children. And before anybody brings up any supposed research that says kids grow up better when they have a mother and a father, I'd like to bring up the number of kids who grow up with a single parent and turn out fine (or, perhaps more importantly, the fact that the orphanages in this country are overrun with kids that straight couples aren't adopting; it'd be hard to argue that a child would be better living in an orphanage until he was an adult than with gay or lesbian parents who love him).

I don't think any gay people actually do that... Being gay isn't really a choice or something you just decide to do (Unless you're a poser with no shame), and I doubt any amount of convincing will get someone to do it.

Unless a child is taught that actions that could be considered gay (Kissing other boys, of course) are the socially accepted way to act (I'm not being homophobic, I'm just saying that nowadays homosexuality is still considered an oddity...) when they are very young an impressionable, I don't think you can convince someone to be gay. If a gay couple teach their child what it means to be heterosexual and homosexual, then I have no problem with it.

I don't see why gay people shouldn't be allowed to adopt... I mean, just because the parents are gay doesn't mean the kids will grow up to be gay as well. And I hate it when people lump in homosexuals with pedophiles and child molestors... many straight men and women are pedophiles and child molestors. My boyfriend and I do plan on adopting children someday and I don't think it is right to deny us that right just because we are gay. See, what it all roots down to is religious intolerance, old style conservatism, and fear of anything different or out of the ordinary. I challenge anybody here to give me a good solid, PROVEN reason why us gay people shouldn't be allowed to marry, adopt kids, and raise families like the rest if you.
