I'm pretty sure marriage is a LEGAL ceremony.

Meaning, church or not, it's a legal and monetary binding, and has little or nothing to do with religion. You can also marry outside of a church.

Not necessarily true. A lot of atheists and non-religious people get married. It isn't just a religious thing anymore.

The problem with that logic is that it would also forbid the elderly or those who physically can't have children from being in relationships as well.
