Well, uh, I completely forgot about this game since I've been so obsessed with Disgaea 2. It was shipped yesterday. Has anyone else got it, or is anyone planning to get it? What are your thoughts on the HM series in general - addictive and fun or lame and boring?

I haven't played Harvest Moon games in so long. I think the last one I played was that one for GBC.

Makes me kinda wanna play this one, or at least the Gamecube ones.

I only played the GBA one, I think it was Friends of Mineral Town. I thought it was pretty original, although it gets boring after a year or two (Game years, duh)

I'm a huge Harverst Moon addict so I will be getting this game. I can't wait until more information about HM for Wii comes out.

I ordered it from Amazon.com along with an Animaniacs and Detective Conan DVD.

The DVDs are shipping but Harvest Moon DS has not shipped yet.

Really depends on the game--I tend to like the "challenging" ones less, where prices for things are higher and marrying people has many more requirements (this one looks frighteningly difficult, which is why I don't think I'll get it). But I like most of the HM games; they can be pretty addictive for a while since there's a lot to do, and there's a hard-to-describe charm in them. I really wish the series had a better localization, though... the characters' dialogue is super-boring.

I love me some Harvest Moon, but they make too many of them now. It's hard to keep up with 'em y'know.

There's guys into it as well.

But I have to say that it's good that Marvelous/Natsume is starting to stop with the constant rehashes of Back to Nature.

I mean, one can get sick of seeing the same characters constantly.
