And grenades aren't as powerful as movies or games make them see. The real dangerous part about grenades is all the shrapnel piercing your skin.

yeah, and fragmentation grenades like the ones that the US uses are lethal up to 30 feet. I may not know very much about grenades, but I know they're VERY lethal. It'd be like getting shot in the head and being absolutely fine by morning, you just don't survive grenade blasts at that close of range.
