If you have a problem with me or think I'm doing a ****ty job, tell it to my face and get it over with instead of *****ing about it to your friends. And if you don't like the board, for god's sake, get the **** out. I try to be a nice guy and be lenient about things, and then complete ****heads like Jinpen come along and ruin it for everyone. He's been permanently banned and unlike the past few times, won't be coming back any time soon.

To the people who I'm talking to, and you know who you are, you've seriously pissed me off. You don't rule over this site with an iron first, you aren't getting the "easy pass", and I'm not going to be a nice, friendly guy to habitual dickheads such as yourselves.

I don't know if SM would've wanted me to reply to this (a locked topic and all), but I feel that since we're pretty much in the same boat, he wouldn't mind.

The recent events hurt me especially because in the past I've prided myself on being lenient and approachable. I've always prefered discussing a problem over simply dealing out punishment, and tended to lock topics and issue verbal warns where necessary as opposed to simply suspending members for every little problem. I've reduced ban length on two occassions after discussing it with the person involved (on one occassion, it turned out the information the suspended user gave me wasn't even true), and even revoked a permaban to allow a member to continue posting with a dupe account under probation (which was violated less than twenty-four hours later).

And for all this, I'm a wimp, apparently. That's the f***ed up thing: people simultaneously complain that the administration is too hard and that we're pushovers. If we're lenient, we're p***ies; if we're strict, we're assholes.

If I have to choose, I'm choosing to be an asshole.
