Flash Competitons

Will MFGG ever host like, Flash Movie competitons? Like Spriting, and Drawing and Minigame?

Give the people a Mario related subject to make the movie on, and they cant like... exceed 30 seconds, or a minute or something.

Make this dream a reality so I can kick-ass at something on these damn forums.

Do enough people really do Flash at MFGG for this to be popular?

Not sure. But I can't participate in Minigame or Spriting! I can in drawing, but my ****s usually never good enough.

I know a lot of people make minigames and sprite. So I guess that's why they're here. :P

I can name off a few people that use Flash........ me and Xander.

Ya know I actually had the idea of doing a special one-month long animation competition for the drawing competition using whatever program you want.

Yeah, sounds good. I would participate.

I don't think it would get many entries. I would enter, except that, well, I barely know how to use Flash.

Wasn't there one just recently with 20th century fish? Okay, that wasn't about Mario, but it was still a flash comp.

Not enough people enter things like drawing competitions, so imagine how many wuld enter something that needs a specialized program. There's also the issue of commitment; I don't think many (if any) MFGGers can stay focused on a somewhat big project like that for very long. Hell, the minigame comps alone have an incredibly small amount of participants, and most people here can make games. Don't get me wrong, I love Flash animating (yay for still using MX!), but there's no way this could happen without it being a flop/really small.

Also it'd be the same two people winning everything. :P

Heh, this could make me actually get off my butt and participate. SOmething I haven't done on MFGG since the topics for both spriting and drawing became stale and uber specific.

EDIT: That said, Marigi, you could enter Mini-Game comps with Flash games I am sure... perhaps I could help you out with that.

EDIT 2: We could have "animation" competitons. GIF animations would be accepted. I know we have some talented animators here.

EDIT 3: Animation can be done in GameMaking programs right? Isn't animation an integral part of Game creation? Perhaps people could sumbit cut scenes that could be used in games...
