I have been going around the MFGG main page, and looking through, there are hardly any klik Libraries. I thought if we could have a big Klik week, just like on tSR. The person to make most klik applications with most objects wins (ofcourse, a badge or something for the winner).
Having all games in a klik application for each would be a requirement.

Well, tell me if this is a good idea, if it stinks, or needs improvements.

EDIT: And ofcourse the klik applications can only contain ripped sprites!

Well, before sprite sheets had their own submission section, the submissions were mainly Klik Libraries (although some of them have sheets included with them).

Yeah, as much as I hate to say it, Klik libraries are kind of an outdated format. We have that category to support old libs.

Still, it saves tonnes of time using libs, and about ½ of the people here use klik, but I agree, the rest of the ½ won't be able to use them.

And half the people on the main site don't even know what a klik lib is anymore, and it is proven by comments such as "it doesn't work!!!"

Really it doesn't take that long to create a lib out of a sprite sheet or two, you'd just have to go through all the main site comments about how they don't understand it, as most of them seem to use GameMaker.

The entire concept of click library is sort of falling to pieces because there's ... 5 or more different potential programs they're being created in? And they're not all compatible with eachother.

Are Klik libraries even downloaded frequently anymore?

I rarely use the klik things, I think I used the old ones for earlier parts of Thingio, and used the M&L one to slap in a good Mario real quick, otherwise I'm basically pro-sheets myself, so it wouldn't kill me if there were less, I dunno if there's even any klik sheets that have things that aren't in sheets somewhere.

I used Klik libs pretty heavily when I was working on the first Super Mario Epic, and a small bit in SME2 (most notably Supertoad2k's SMA4 Ghost House lib). The problem is that, like you said, pretty much anything you could find in a lib can now be found in a sheet, beside maybe some custom libs.

If people can't sacrafice a few minutes to copy and paste the sprites from the sheet into their game or whatever, then they shouldn't be making a game from the beginning. :/ Because it IS time-consuming. (If you want a decent outcome, anyway.)

I think the only pro of having Klik libraries is that all the hot spot/action point stuff is already done up for you (and hot spots/action points can be REALLY time-consuming to get lined up correctly)

Also, there's sprites ripped in lib form that aren't in sheet form yet. A ton of the sheets I've ripped recently have been available in Batman's Mario Library for years, yet I was suprised no-one had ripped them in sheet form...
