My grandpa on my father's side died on St.Patricks day this year. It was sad. I miss him.
But I've gotten over it.

I've never met my grandfather on my dad's side, or know his name. Or know if he died. Apparently he was such an ass that he left my grandmother on my dad's side for no reason at all. My dad says he doesn't want to talk about it.

Now, on my mom's side... I don't know a thing other than he's alive. Don't do much with my mom's side of the family.

My condolences to you and your family. I've never had someone in my family die yet, but i've got 4 grandparents all over 70 or 80, and some aren't really doing that well, so it's only really a matter of time. I'm not really sure HOW i'd deal with it.

While I was very little when my grandfather on my mother's side died, I remember how sad I was when my grandmother on my father's side died. Really, don't keep yourself from crying. It's the healthiest thing you can do when you're distraught.
