Twighlight Princess for Gamecube no more?

Well if no one said this already... In Japan they're only allowing the GCN version to be sold online through nintendos website or something

...what the Christ are you talking about? You guys are really clueless sometimes. Nintendo is offering Twilight Princess in Japan and Europe through their online retailer, America is speculated to follow down that same path, much like what happened with Electroplankten. This isn't the "worst move ever"; if anything it's going to increase sales for the Wii and the Wii version of Twilight Princess because Joe Schmuck isn't going to want to get his copy online for his now archaic system.

Hey guys, guess what? There's no need to piss and moan. If you want your Twilight Princess for Gamecube then you just order it online come this December - and I think online is where we all spend most of our time anyway. :P

Yes and I'm sorry for being so harsh but it just bugs me when I see misinformed posts like "OH MY GOD NINTENDO THOSE *******S I'M GOING TO MURDER MY FAMILY AND DISEMBOWEL MYSELF WITH A RUSTY RAZOR BLADE" when nobody even knows the entire situation.

I didn't get a Gamecube till my birthday last year, when it started to become obsolete. I don't want the same thing to happen again.

Look, all you have to do is order it online. In fact, the situation in Europe is supposedly not changing, so if you live there you won't have to do anything different at all.

Tough ****. Do you know how long I waited for Kingdom Hearts 2? 4 years. 4 GODDAMN YEARS! You assholes all went around spoiling the game when it was out in the US, and avoiding spoilers was a nightmare for us euro's. Infact I had to leave 2 forums because of it. So this is the same deal. If you can't wait just a few months/years or however long it takes for you to get a Wii and start Zelda, suck my ***** and gtfo of life.

Everyone did, actually. And it turned out to be a ****ing terrible sequel in my opinion.

...So basically your argument is that if Nintendo did decide not to release Twilight Princess on Gamecube, fans don't have a right to be angry because they should just buy a Wii, anyway? Because I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get a Wii for a while, and I'm pretty sure I'm not nearly the only person for whom this is true. Using common sense would make it obvious that there will be some fans who won't get a Wii soon (or at all in some cases), but hey, why use common sense when sweeping generalizations and the word "retard" make you sound so much edgier?

But you shouldn't complain because you'll get the game eventually!

Totally beside the point. A long ass time ago, Nintendo told us that the upcoming Zelda game would be on Gamecube. We were effectively told we wouldn't have to buy a new system to play it. Even after the Wii version was announced (and it was announced that the Gamecube version wouldn't be released until three weeks later), Gamecube owners thought they would be able to get it on the system they were promised without having to buy a totally new one.

It appears that this is actually true, and that Nintendo IS going to release Twilight Princess for Gamecube. Still, the fact that you called anybody who was upset over what appeared to be the cancellation of this version of the game a "retard" (in totally big, bold, totally edgy text) and then giving us the excuse that, "Europeans have to wait longer to get games!" (which I guess is relevent if you don't actually bother thinking about it too much) makes you seem like an ass.

Those 3 words just sum up why I went a tiddly bit harsh at those *****ing at nintendo because they can't get a Wii yet, even though they WILL eventually.

The "Euro's have to wait longer" bit was an example. Am I *****ing about it? No. I preordered my Wii extremely late, and I have little doubt missing one on the first batch. So i'll probably be waiting with you too. So why isn't uncle cutman swearing at Nintendo? Because it's a game.

Anyway, pointless debating this is since it IS on the GCN. I just wanted to let some steam off at everyone calling Ninty bad names.

This really doesn't bother me because my family's original plan was to get the Wii version of TP anyway.

I quit gaming here and now to express my utter disgust with Nintendo.

Ph and for the record, Europe did not get, among other things:
Earthbound
Chrono Trigger
Super Mario RPG
Wario Ware: Twisted

Oh and uh, it took a long time for KH2 to come over here, just because some french and dutch people need the game translated.

Europe gets games delayed, sometimes not at all just because... it has to be translated to four/five more languages!

As long as it comes out eventually for the GCN, I'm fine. Because like people have already said, I'd rather buy a game for a system I already own (and a system for which I have a criminally small library I might add) than spend $300+ just for one game.
