Enough of the rudeness.

Over the past couple of months, I have noticed that the insolence of posts has become incredible.

People who coime to the forums are being driven out, much less leaving due to the hostility of certian members. Sometimes they are told "GET A LIVEJOURNAL LOL!!!!11", or "DIS IS SPAM!!!111" when it would be a perfectly acceptable post at any other forum.

Example:

Its not always direct. Sometimes they will make a suggestion that would be deemed insulting in RL.

I dont think I need to give an example of these, since they are all over the forum. You know, things you wouden't tell a person standing right in front of you.

All I am saying is that we should all be a little more polite. Can we at least do that?

Second one was in regards to a duplicate, so that doesn't really matter.

So they say that sort of stuff to try and act badass.

Can't we all just get along?

As much as I agree, I can frankly say nothing will likely change since 95% of the memberbase here reasons with their asses and thinks that just because they're insulting someone through a computer screen that it doesn't likely have any effect.

I know seriously this needs to stop

I say maybe some members should focus less on not being assholes and more on not being crappy members. Rudeness is unfortunate, but at least it lets people know they're being idiots.

You can tell people they're being a moron without being an asshole.

This topic offends me. Creating these should be a warnable offense.

Well discussing it isn't going to do much good, I'll try to be on the lookout for unnecessary or over the top rudeness though. Even though according to people who get warned it's always a joke
